To give at least 10 hours per year of activities to help improve my school, neighborhood or the world.
The student's parent or guardian PROMISES:
To encourage my child to see mistakes as a natural part of the learning process but to also accept that there can be consequences that result from my child making poor choices.
To attend at least two in-person conferences with my child's teachers each year.
To respond promptly to phone calls or notes from the school or teachers
To provide a quiet place for my child to do homework every night and to check to make sure that homework is completed before it is due
To get my child to school on-time, carrying the needed supplies, in uniform and ready to learn after a good night's sleep
To ask my child about the books that they are reading and to make sure that they are finishing at least two appropriate books per month during the school year.
To make a sincere effort to give 15 hours of service to the school each year.
To try to work things out with a teacher before reporting the problem to the administration.
To support the school's discipline policy, including that bullying and teasing is treated as seriously as a physical attack.
To provide the school with all the information that they need to help my child be successful.
To seek help from the school if I need support in fulfilling any of these promises.
