Mr. Console

Success is only achieved through hard work and honesty, but if you work hard and stay honest, success is not the only thing you will achieve.

Mr. Console is a sixth-year teacher at James Jordan Middle School. In his years at JJMS he has worked with every grade level in multiple capacities ranging from writing instruction all the way to helping Coach with the football and soccer teams. Prior to joining JJMS he completed his student teaching under master teachers at Lawrence Middle School, Nobel Middle School, and Northridge Academy High School.  He earned his B.A. and his teaching credential from California State University Northridge where he studied English with a dual emphasis in Literature and Education while supporting himself with his own private tutoring business. He has recently returned to his graduate studies at CSUN and is currently earning his M.A. in Education. If you see him rushing out of the parking lot on Thursday afternoons don't forget to wish him luck on his exams!

Mr. Console's OFFICIAL Tutoring Hours are Tuesday and Thursday at Lunch.
Mr. Console is also generally available every day before school or at break as well as after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. He is also usually available on Mondays and Wednesdays at Lunch. Also, if students need any additional assistance, they are welcome to set up an appointment for Saturday school and Mr. Console will be sure to come in!

Mr. Console's make-up policy is simple: anything and everything in the gradebook for his classes can be made up with very few exceptions, but the student must attend at least one tutoring session (unless otherwise noted in powerschool - check the comments!) and may be required to attend more than one session for larger assignments or quizzes/tests. As long as a student is willing to put in real effort to do well, Mr. Console will work with that student.  No effort = no grade!
