Intervention and Support

JJMS provides the following programs free of charge:

Tutoring

Every JJMS teacher offers tutoring at least twice per week. This allows our students to get help from their own teachers to prepare for tests, review concepts, and get coaching on projects.

After School Program

Our after school program is free for any student who participates for a minimum of 9 hours per week. After school activities run from 3:05/3:35 pm to 6:30 pm. All students participating in the after school program will spend at least one hour working on academic tasks such as homework.  Enrichment activities, such as art and sports, are also available once academic work is complete.

Saturday School

On select Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, students have the opportunity to get help with homework, receive additional teaching time, and work on school projects.

Intersession

During Winter and Spring breaks, JJMS provides students with an opportunity to receive additional academic support based on their individual academic needs.

Summer School

During the Summer, we offer additional academic support as well as an enrichment program with fun learning activities for students. Additionally, all incoming 6th graders are invited to participate in a three-week Summer Bridge Program to prepare them for the transition to middle school.
