Break and Lunchtime Tutoring

Every JJMS teacher offers tutoring during at least two lunch periods per day. This allows our students to get help from their own teachers to prepare for tests, review concepts and get coaching on projects.

After School Program

Afterschool activities run from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.  All students will spend a minimum of one hour working on academics, such as homework, with the assistance of a college student.  Enrichment activities such as art and sports are also available when academic work is complete.  Our afterschool program is free for anyone who participates for a minimum of 9 hours per week.

Saturday School

On Saturday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, students have the opportunity to get help with homework, receive additional teaching time and work on school projects.  The tutoring is provided by college students and our own JJMS teachers. Check the school calendar to see which weekends have Saturday School.

Intersession

During Winter, Spring and Summer Breaks, JJMS provides an opportunity for students with low grades to have extra days of instruction.  The programs are taught by JJMS teachers and can help students avoid retention.  Programs designed for students who are struggling are free of charge.  During the Summer, we also have an enrichment program with fun learning activities for students who have good grades. The program for students with good grades costs $25 per week.
